BHP Architects was appointed by the London Borough of Greenwich to design a City Learning Centre to enable students, teachers and members of the wider community, access to information communications technology as a means of learning. The Abbey Wood project is the second CLC in Greenwich and is part of a network of community facilities in the Borough.

The single storey building has an exposed structural steel frame, curved metal deck roof and fully glazed external walls. The building has been designed to be capable of expansion without disruption, to provide a library and fitness centre.
