BHP Architects was appointed by the London Borough of Greenwich to design a new 2FE Primary School & Children's Centre to serve the Thamesmead Gallions Urban Village.

The new school, which opened in September 2008, is a single storey timber frame structure, with Structural Insulated Panels, timber cladding and a concrete flat roof, used as a heat sink' and as an acoustic barrier to the City Airport flight path. The new building has a gross internal area of 3500sqm and contains 16 classrooms, 2 halls, resources areas, administration offices, 2 nursery classrooms, 4 children's centre classrooms and ancillary accommodation.
