CZ Scientific new UK Headquarters

CZ Scientific manufacture high grade optical instruments in the German town of Jena . They decided to locate their UK administrative headquarters and distribution centre in Hertfordshire. BHP Architects was selected by competition to design and manage the construction of their new UK headquarters.

The new buildings are designed in a 'T' plan with the administrative offices fronting the main road and the distribution centre accessible from the car park and service areas to the rear. The development was built in several phases, which allowed CZ Scientific to transfer their UK network of operations into the new centre over a period of 15 months.
